The MEMO originated from the Austrian-Polish Mathematical Competition (APMC), held since 1978?
At the first MEMO in 2007, only 7 countries took part (Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland)? Germany and Hungary started participating in 2008, and Lithuania in 2009.
